The Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI).

CONTEXT
Perú is a country that holds and protects mysterious myths, captivating history, and vibrant culture, all of which are beautifully encapsulated in the MALI's selection of priceless artworks. And MALI also wanted to showcase the new architectural design for the museum, to show that they are also moving, enhancing and adapting.

MY EXPERIENCE AND PROCESS

Notably, we employed Anamorphic Distortion to enhance visual depth, creating a captivating "fake box effect" that added a unique dimension to the animation. And this was the first time we applied this technique into a Volarte Video, with the pre-Columbian sculture "El Contorsionista"

What I enjoyed the most about this video was learning about these artworks, for example, unraveling the narrative of "Funerales de Atahualpa," a gripping drama depicting the encounter between Spaniards and natives revolving around King Atahualpa. Converting a still image into a immersive 3D environments ensuring that every aspect of the story was faithfully represented.

Inspired on the tech solution developed by the original game DOOM game makers. We completed the characters, who were covered by other characters and made them flat character cards who turn to look at the camera.

Another interesting task was to replicate the facade of the museum, we weren't provided with architectural plans so what I did was a projection from a picture, and created the facade all from pieces.
